How do you want to live?

"To let life happen to you is irresponsible. To create your day is your divine right."
~ Ramtha
We’ve all heard of the story of the hamster and the wheel. He keeps running, never seeming to get anywhere. Or the mouse and the maze. He’s looking for a way out. He keeps doing the same thing hoping for a different result. Many of us live like that.
Why do we do that? Know why… because it's easy. We walk around this world and give our attention to things that present themselves, what we hear from others, suggestions, and ideas; what we observe, be it on television, the news, or what we see others do; or we live by the beliefs from childhood, family or friends. The question is… does it serve us, is it who we really are, does it give us the life we want and are we accepting what others say and do as our own?
Well, I found myself doing just that. Most of us do, especially us women. We are focused most on what others want vs what we want. We base our needs and wants on the wants, needs and desires of others. And in doing so we think that’s what we want. But is it really?
I guess you could say that I didn’t really know what I wanted. I know that sounds crazy, how can one move throughout their day and life without knowing what they want. I knew what “needed to be done” and what others needed me or wanted me to do, but what did I want?
Throughout my life, I found myself wanting whatever my husband wanted, whatever my boss wanted, whatever my son wanted, or what my friends wanted. And so what I found out is that I didn’t know what I truly wanted or even liked or didn’t like. I didn’t realize this until I got divorced and became an empty nester. Someone once asked me “what do you do for fun”. To my amazement, I didn’t have an answer. How sad is that?
So many of us do not see ourselves through our own eyes, we let others reflect back to us their vision of who we are and as we look into their eyes and hear their words that’s who we become and that’s the life we live. We create a life through the eyes and wanting of others rather than designing a life that is created by our own desire.
Live the Life You Want.
Be confident that you know best and what is good for your life. It’s okay to listen to advice from others, consider their perspectives, and then make your own choices based on what you want, how you want to live and how you want to feel.
The key to designing your life is embracing who you are, knowing what you want and how you want to live. It’s knowing your core values and living by those values. If you want to change your life, and empower yourself to create an amazing future, then you need to understand the Law of Attraction. Once you understand the Law of Attraction and how it works you can begin to consciously and intentionally create a better life.
Some say that’s too woo woo for them. Then this is not a conversation for them. But if you have an open mind, an open heart, and tired of living by someone else’s rules or beliefs then this may be for you.
“You are a masterful creator. You create your life experiences. Everything you need for a happy life lies within. You and you alone design your life. And no matter your age, it's never too late to discover your true authentic self and create a life that is good for your health, heart & soul. ”
